csack56, you are absolutely correct that there is no specific neck brace standard from CE. Nor did I say there was or try to mislead anyone to think there was. Our neck braces pass a "Personal Protective Equipment" safety stand from CE. So do the Alpinestars and Moveo neck braces. As it is today that standard is the only independent safety standard for unrestrained torso neck braces (as opposed to car racing neck braces where the body is strapped in). SFI has many car racing safety standards and they are working on a neck brace standard now. It will be called 57.1 and I hope they release it this year. The whole of the motorcycle and bicycle industries will be relieved to finally have an independent safety body looking out for them.

I broke my C1 C2 and C3 in 2004. As you can see in my profile photo I have a 3" titanium screw going through my odontoid bone. I should be dead or paralyzed. If I had a Leatt on I could have avoided this injury. Now I always wear my Leatt.

Great video, but please address the known spinal injuries that were caused by the thoracic piece resting on the spine. This is on the minds of many riders. Plus, Atlas addressed the concerns by placing their rear load pieces away from the spine.

Where is the load on the upper body in your testing Phil? What you have just shown is the same as it has always been. In your next few videos, please show us how the dummy reacts when he hits the ground free falling as it would do in a typical motorcycle crash. I look forward to seeing your results, specifically on the T-Spine and sternum. Typical crashes this year that were filmed were Tyla Rattray, and Malcolm Stewart.
