kids with this kind of speed racing C class is the issue with our sport. look at the top 50 fastest riders by lap time at LL. 8 of the top 10, including the top spot, were B class riders. the only 2 that weren't B class were Zach Bell in 2nd, and Ricky Carmichael in 7th. The first A class rider? 15th. You can't tell me that sandbagging is completely out of control anymore. These punk kids in B class don't turn pro until they land a factory ride, and in turn, the C class kids like Hodges dont move up to B class until they win everything there is to win in C class. Remember how everyone touted Ryan Dungey for doing so well after being pulled straight out of the B class? Sandbagging. Race the right class. Smoking everyone in the slow guy class (admittedly, my class) doesnt make you cool.

@ wasted youth. Only 2 ppl have won a title at LL and gone on to be pro. I did not say he was a bagger, notice my punctuation??? those are question marks. You must be (minor in consumption/ riding Axell's axle) = D class hero.

You said he would get smoked in B class, I stated he ran a 1:56...so no, he wouldn't. At the most competitive amateur national on the planet he would already be placing somewhere in the top 10 easily. By no means am I riding Axell's axle as you so wittingly put it. If that were the case I would be all over of dirt schlep too. D class hero, maybe. Texas hometown hero like you? no.

@Pro- to run a 1:56 at Lorettas is very impressive, especially from a 15 year old. Look at the B class lap times. Everyone calls him a sandbagger but this was his last year in C and he only held out to race LL. He went 1-1-2 in 250C stock, so does this make the kid who beat him in the last moto a sandbagger as well? I think we'll see big things in the future from this kid.

After riding the C class for 3 years, I would hope he could put up some impressive times! How many of the other riders out there have been riding the C class since 2010?

the top 5 finishers in every class at amateur nationals (except pro or expert, whichever is highest) are sandbaggers. end of story.

Sounds like your jealous WTF? im not seeing any videos of you on the internet. maybe you should get off vital and go practice since you probably suck
8/9/2012 6:49 PM
Sounds like you are one of the 14 year old little nuthuggers that line up to clean Axell's jock after every practice session!
8/9/2012 2:13 PM
C class my ass.
8/9/2012 12:02 PM
It sounds like the only people that are complaining about hodges are kids or parents of kids that cant beat this kid in a race. Sounds like a bunch of babies and should go take up another sport like underwater basket weaving.
8/9/2012 11:05 AM
Sandbagger?...maybe, but he would get smoked in the B class.
8/9/2012 7:36 PM
finishing just outside the top 10 isnt "getting smoked." if you finish between 10th and 30th out of a full gate at an amateur national, youre in the right class. top 10 should move up, bottom ten had a bad day.
