Vital Revival: 2005 Yamaha YZ125, Part 1 12

We're two-stroke just like a lot of other riders, but incase you haven't noticed, there are not very many new premix burners coming out these days. That's why we took on the task of bringing an older YZ125 up to date. Check out this first installment of our Vital Revival and follow us through the build.

if you look at the lower front fork guards, and the black ring's on the fork's,they are from 2008/9 onwards so the front fork's will be too.looking at the shock body,it's from the 05 model and so are the rear disc guard and rear brake caliper i'm gonna say it's an 05 model with an 08 onwards front end on it.

my son just found 1 in a barn. $500.00, complete rolling chassis with motor in.Cylinder needed replating I got new one checked crank,Good. Complete carb clean,Lots of grease. Put in new Vertex piston kit,Boyesen reeds, Spark plug,New Dunlop Geo 51. This little 125 is a good runner. 4 hours of good moto practice, and still fine.We are into this bike for a little over $1000.00. My son races 250 2 strokes, but has been practicing on the 125 and really loving it,makes him run deeper in turns with throttle. Ours does not have the big bars, and the fork action is different than his newer 250's. They have sss suspension. Zesiger 112 you might be right on part 2 triple clamp update. We chose to leave as is, simple reason its strickly a practice bike

Is part 2 fork and triple clamp upgrade? Because those aren't 2005. I know I made the mistake of buying an 05 thinking it was a 06.
    $950?! that Is a steal!
