Time to Win: Justin Brayton 8

Justin Brayton is a rider who has been on the cusp of winning multiple Supercross races, and has always found himself in the hunt for a championship. However, he's not necessarily believed he's had the ability to execute. Now, Brayton has found himself back on a KTM, where he earned his first-ever podiums and outdoor Motocross win at Steel City Raceway several years ago. Joining the BTO Sports/KTM team squad, Brayton has a new-found confidence and is ready to step up and start winning come 2015.

Not being a dick, I like Brayton, he has definitely been close to winning races a few times, but hunt for a title?

One of few people to lead RV, get passed, then chase him back down. Any top 5 guy is a "title contender" at one time or another.

Even McGrath called Brayton a "sleeper" I think this year he may have something. BTO seems to be comfortable for him already. He seems to have found a balance that very few riders have right now.

Who has his current confidence without the hype, pressure or drama? Dungey is messed up from losing national title and MXDN. James has unfortunate drama. Roczen has the pressure of proving his move to RCH wasn't a mistake. There are a few others that may fit but there is something special with Justin this year.

Go look at his points the last few years. As I said, threat to win, yeah, title? There's 5 guys in front at least, and I really can't think of a year he was in contention...

If you don't agree with that, that's fine, I just don't think RV or similar were staying up at night worrying about Brayton.

Haha, I'm not trying to hide anything. I am a huge fan of Justin, a lot of it because he is from my town. I have posted that a few times in other forums.

I do think you are right though. Threat to win vs threat to win a title are two diff things. That being said I still do think with the level these guys are on ..where there hasn't been at least a few top 5 guys go out with injury.

I'm just pumped about him for this year. That being said Roczen may just walk all over everyone and begin his domination. Who knows until it's all over.

Justin mentioned it in his interview, though the clip wasn't used in this final edit. But, at one point last year, Justin was only five points out of the series lead, behind RV. I'd have to say that is being in the championship hunt. Longer and closer to it then we'll ever be! Haha
