Before all this debate about how different GPs vs US tracks are, I never paid much attention about how flat and not that technical (when perfectly groomed) the Thunder Valley track is. Talk about a highway. Don't get me wrong, I like the track and I'm sure it will change during the races with deep ruts and all and the riders will struggle with elevation too. Some say GPs are more diverse, but this track is not really Glen Helen alike. Maybe, US tracks are less diverse concerning how they're prepared, the surfaces and as a consequence, as they evolved on race day (deep ruts in turns where you can go all balls out) but the major difference is obviously the straights length and speed.
