At just 16 years old Californian motocross racer Austin Politelli is one of the brightest stars of motocross.

After making a solid name for himself in the amateur rankings AP98 surprised the world when he podiumed at his first-ever senior supercross race in Dortmund, Germany in late 2010.

For 2011 the Unit-backed teenager signed to ride the Canadian Motocross Nationals with the factory Leading Edge Kawasaki team. His results in the Pro Open class so far have been nothing short of remarkable, with multiple podium finishes in a range of conditions, and putting the rest of the field on notice as a genuine title threat.

Austin is a member of Unit Clothing’s new Junior Motocross Academy – a new initiative to develop and nurture motocross talent in Australia, New Zealand and the USA. Alongside him is fellow American teenage sensation Kyle Peters, former Junior World Champion Jay Wilson (Australia), New Zealand whip and scrub demon Haki Waller, and some of Australia’s brightest young riders, Sam Martin, Dylan Wilson, Kurt Waterman and Richie Evans.
