Kawasaki is a Japanese based company that manufacturers motorcycles. They started working on developing a motorcycle engine in 1949, and by 1953 they had begun mass production on motorcycles. Before long, they were also manufacturing dirt bikes, and they eventually decided to start funding professional race teams to help market their new product. Today, their racing programs on both the asphalt and the dirt are known as "Team Green", and they have teams in the United States, Europe, Canada, and Australia. Kawasaki's slogan is "Let the good times roll."

2020 Kawasaki KX450
Vital Review
Overall Review
For 2020, the KX450 gets green numberplates (instead of the standard white) and new graphics. That's it. But we are not disappointed because of two very important facts: One, just last year, the 2019 was pretty much all new. Two, this year's KX250 was also heavily updated. Team Green isn't slacking in the least. For a detailed look at what changed from the 2018 to 2019 KX450, check out this First Look. And for our first test of the 2019 KX450 take a look at this video. The main things to recap are an new frame and swing arm, an all-new engine design (new valve train, exhaust, e-start, new...

At a quick glance you might say, “Hey, the new KX250 looks the same as last year’s, just with green number plates.” But you’d be wrong. Very wrong. The Kawasaki development team seemed to have a clear target in mind for the 2020 KX250 motor - quicker, faster, lighter and higher-reving. They also replaced the suspension with a conventional dual coil spring KYB fork and KYB shock, so all the attention wasn’t just in the engine department. What you won’t see changed on the 2020 KX250 is that lever on the right side that you have to push down really fast to get the bike to start up. There is no e...

So what's new for the 2019 KX250? Well, not much but the F is no more! Kawasaki chose to drop the F moniker from their four-stroke motocross bikes this year. So don't be confused, this isn't a new two-stroke. But as we mentioned, there's not much new as Kawasaki's focus was on the all-new KX450 this year, meaning their 250 is taking a bye year but carries over a bunch of updates from 2018. If you want to know more about those changes, check out our 2018 First Impressions for this bike and for our 2019 video, we're going to talk more about the changes we did to the bike on the track and our...

While we test a lot of "new" bikes every year, there are some that really fit the description of all-new well. This year, that label belongs to Kawasaki and the 2019 KX450. The list of parts that didn't change is much shorter than what actually changed as the bike got the biggest overhaul of its existence as it heads into the fifth generation platform. There's so much to talk about with this bike and there's a few ways we're going to give it to you. First off, check out the video below for our usual mix of action and a quite breakdown of what we thought after our first day on the bike. If you...
