In the late 2000s, most still laughed at the thought of KTM winning a premiere class championship. Now here we are just a few short years later, and the KTM 450 SX-F is battling at the top of its class as a production bike and winning professional titles around the world. With a forward drive on R&D, KTM has taken huge steps the past few years and now has the lightest bike in its category, along with the horsepower numbers to back it up. Its only downfall and achilles heel has been the suspension, but now with WP's newest shock and AER 48 fork, those days may be gone. With a light chassis, powerful engine, electric start, host of electronics, and new suspension, it's hard to argue that the KTM could be the favorite heading into this year's 450 shootout.
