Ironclad is best known for their industrial safety gloves for guys who work on oil rigs, high rise construction, etc. But they're working on a line of mechanics work gloves with slick features like Teflon-coated synthetic leather, expansion strips that will allow the glove to slide off in the event of getting caught up in machinery, and cool pulls to ease entry. You can see the differences between their new ones on the left with their previous offerings on the right. Obviously they're working with the Jeff Ward Racing/DNA Energy team, and are looking to work with other teams in the future. These will be available in the fall, in automotive parts stores like Napa and Autozone, as well as Bass Pro Shops. Suggested retail will be in the range of $24.99.
