Chad Reed, Austin Stroupe, and Trey Canard 1

Chad Reed (TwoTwo Motorsports Bel Ray Racing), Austin Stroupe (Valli Motorsports Rockstar Yamaha), and Trey Canard (American Honda Racing) early in the first heat. All but Canard would qualify, and Trey had one of the scariest crashes we've seen in a while, as he cartwheeled his bike, and got tagged by it. Fortunately he got up unscathed, and as a few people joked to him later, ensured a place in the highlight reels for years to come. Credit: GuyB
