The 250 West points leader, Cooper Webb (Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha), led the way to start the first 250 heat race. How weird would it be to try and race a sloppy, muddy Supercross track sight unseen? The last time the 250s were on the track prior to this, it had been dry and blue groove. But an afternoon thunderstorm wiped out the rest of practice, and the Dirt Wurx guys had scrambled to fix as much of the track as they could.
