Not too many guys get to fill up Ricky Carmichael with roost, but Chad Reed can claim it. Unfortunately, Chad's day started to unravel shortly afterward when his bike began to pop. Chad was already shaking his head before the header on his bike cracked and exited from the machine. His Yamaha sounded like a wet fart machine for the rest of the moto, and looked seriously underpowered...though he did fight to the end and hang onto third spot.
