November 8, 2011 - Corona, CA - While Husqvarna racers were busy highlighting the Loretta Lynn's GNCCs, a few others were also earning wins in the West. The World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS) finale took place at Speed World MX in Surprise, Arizona and return-Husqvarna racer Sherri Cruse topped the Women's Pro class aboard a Zip-Ty Racing TC250. In only her second race back since becoming a mother three months ago, Cruse is already back up to speed, and enjoyed being back in the saddle with her baby girl Emerie on the sidelines cheering her on. Cruse battled with reigning WORCS champion Kacy Martinez on the opening lap, but steadily pulled away throughout the rest of the race to take a convincing win. The rest of the Zip-Ty Husqvarna team was also in action at the Arizona WORCS finale. Cory Graffunder closed out his season with a top-five finish in the Pro 2 class. Graffunder returned from injury earlier this summer in time to remain in the championship hunt, and finish second in points for the 2011 season in the Pro 2 division. |
