Zero Motorcycles Sponsors 2008 Mammoth Motocross

All-New Zero X Electric Dirtbikes to be Displayed at This Weekend’s Event

MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. (June 26, 2008) – Zero Motorcycles, the leading manufacturer of electric off-road motorcycles, announced today it will be a sponsor at  the 2008 Mammoth Motocross in Mammoth Lakes, Calif. this weekend. In addition to providing support for the longest continuously-running motocross race in the nation, Zero Motorcycles will showcase the future of motocross, the Zero X electric dirtbike.

The Zero X is a no-compromise off-road motorcycle that utilizes Lithium-ion technology to deliver surprising power and explosive acceleration. With a 20 horsepower electric motor and a total weight of 140 pounds, the Zero X can keep pace with a conventional 250cc off-road motorcycle, without the conventional problems of noise and pollution.

“Being a part of this weekend’s Mammoth Motocross gives us a great opportunity to introduce the Zero X to professional riders and allow motocross fans to see the bike up close,” said Neal Saiki, inventor and founder of Zero Motorcycles. “Electric power is game-changing for the motorcycle industry, and the Zero X is leading that change.”

Zero Motorcycles will feature four Zero X dirtbikes in its booth at the 2008 Mammoth Motocross from June 25-28. Guests attending the event will have an opportunity see the bike first-hand and meet some of the men and women behind it.
