Yamaha PR: Doug Henry Loses Home in House Fire

Cypress Calif.
– As you may know, former Yamaha AMA National Motocross Champion,
Supercross and Snocross hero Doug Henry, suffered the devastating loss
of his family residence in Connecticut due to fire just prior to the
Thanksgiving Holiday.

Although the home and the family’s possessions were a complete loss,
Doug and his family are safe and as determined as ever to rebuild their
lives just as he has done when other tragedies have struck.

The following is directly from the Henry Family:

The Henry family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for all of
the generous donations and contributions they have received from
family, friends and the community. The outpouring of assistance, both
of basic needs and emotional support, has been unimaginable and deeply
appreciated. Due to the severity of the fire, there is nothing to
salvage. At this time, the family is working to clear the debris.

Stacey Henry stated "we have yet to decide whether we will rebuild at
the same location but we do plan on remaining in Torrington. This
catastrophe has demonstrated what a wonderful community we reside in.
There are many personal stories of triumph that have been shared with
us and are the source of daily inspiration during this difficult time."

The Henry Family is deeply grateful to our brave firefighters, police
and members of The Red Cross who were at the scene demonstrating great
strength and courage.

Due to current and future needs, donations can be made to: The Henry
Family Fund c/o The Torrington Savings Bank at 635 Main Street,
Torrington, CT 06790 or online using this link to The Road to Recovery and 100% of the donations will go directly to the Henry family.
