Winning Weekend for KTM

KTM Factory Teams had an impressive list of top results this weekend starting at the Supercross, moving onto the WORCS event, the AMA National Enduro and topping it off with a win at the Adelanto GP.

The weekend started off well on Saturday when Muscle Milk/MDK/KTM Factory Racing Team rider Martin Davalos finished 2nd in his heat and went on to continue his impressive results with a 3rd overall in the main event – his first podium this season.

Also Saturday, in the WORCS Women’s Pro race, KTM saw two more top finishes when Sarah Whitmore and current WORCS Champion Maria Forsberg finished 2nd and 3rd on their KTM machines.

Sunday proved to be just as remarkable at the WORCS race when team riders Mike Brown and Justin Soulè battled an amazing seven laps for the lead position. The race ended with Brown taking his first-ever WORCS win and Soulè turning in his best-ever WORCS finish in 2nd.

A few miles away from the WORCS event, KTM Factory Hare and Hound rider David Pearson and his friend Mike Childress teamed up to race the Adelanto GP in which they easily ran away with the win.

To add to the list of podiums on Sunday, KTM Factory National Enduro riders, Russell Bobbitt and Mike Lafferty finished 1st and 2nd respectively at the second round of the National Enduro Series. The two were close all day with only 11 seconds between the two at the end of the event. Toping off the podium was KTM Factory Off-Road GNCC rider, Cory Buttrick, who was using this race as practice before his series starts next weekend.

All in all, it was a successful orange weekend. “I think this was KTM’s most successful racing weekend yet,” commented KTM Off-Road Team Manager Antti Kallonen.
