Weimer Wins RC Hard Charger Award at High Point

Jake Weimer Overcomes Adversity
and Captures RC Hard Charger Award at High Point with Resilient Effort

MORGANTOWN, W.V.
- Last Saturday's Rockstar Energy High Point National in Mt. Morris,
Pa., featured a dynamic track, a massive crowd, and lots of excitement
on the racetrack. The changing weather conditions and the high stakes of
the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship made for difficult
conditions and as a result, passing was at a premium. At the end of the
day, when all of the results were tallied, the weekly Ricky Carmichael
Hard Charger Award, which goes to the competitor who passes the most
riders in any given moto, went to Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's
Jake Weimer.

Weimer, the 2010 AMA Supercross Lites Western Regional Champion, has had
a tough start to his outdoor season so far this summer. His work was
made all the more difficult in the second 250 Class moto when an early
crash left him on the rich High Point Raceway soil. Weimer completed the
first lap in 32nd position, and by the end of the
30-minutes-plus-two-laps moto, he had climbed to 11th, passing 21 of his
championship rivals along the way. The effort earned him 10 valuable
points in the standings as well as the RC Hard Charger Award, which is
named after the most successful rider in AMA Motocross history.

Weimer's come-from-behind efforts better that of Troy Lee Designs/Lucas
Oil Honda rider Cole Seely, who passed 19 riders in the second 250 Class
moto, and GEICO Powersports Honda's Trey Canard, who went from 21st
place at the end of the lap one to a fantastic fourth position at the
finish.

The 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship moves to Maryland this
weekend for the MotoTees.com Budds Creek National, commencing on
Saturday at 1 p.m. EST. Catch live streaming of the first motos on www.allisports.com,
followed by same-day, back-to-back coverage of both classes on SPEED
beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
