Press Release

Weimer / Grant / Clark / Albrecht / Brault / Flanders / Borkenhagen on DMXS Radio Tonight!

After a weekend of hype and speculation the battle royale between Ryan Dungey and Jason Lawrence never went down at Anaheim last weekend. The stage was set perfectly with multiple plot lines and motives, but their drama took a back seat to Pro Circuit’s Jake Weimer winning the season opener and stealing the headlines for at least this week. Jake will join us tonight if he doesn’t loop out on the way to the phone.

Anaheim 1 had plenty of surprises, but none greater than JGR’s Josh Grant taking the checkered flag in his debut race. This popular victory officially put Josh on the map as a legitimate podium contender this year. He will take a few minutes to catch up with us after a day of testing.

JGR’s Jeremy Albrecht is a very brave man. He took on the task of building a Factory-supported team from the ground up. His team’s hard work and dedication were rewarded last weekend, but you can guarantee that J-Bone is already looking to the next goal.

Brawndo Honda’s Ryan Clark is riding the West Coast Lites class and put in a very impressive ride at the first round. Ryan has been around the sport a long time and is one of the most intelligent and well-spoken folks in the pits. He will be on to discuss his team for this year and other hot-button and relevant issues within our sport.

Troy Lee Designs / Honda’s Sean Borkenhagen is easy to pull for. After a crash during his amateur career left his arm severely damaged, it was uncertain if he had complete use again, let alone ever race. Borky is well known for his determination and after some very hard times he fought back all the way to the starting gate at Anaheim. If you are not a fan of this kid, you soon will be.

DMXS Radio loves Canada even though we prefer to call it Canadia. Some of our biggest fans and closest friends reside North of the border so when we heard there was a newly launched motocross website dedicated to them. We had to find out more. The site, www.DirectMotocross.com is the brainchild of Danny Brault. Some of you know Danny from his work with Racer X Canada and other contributions to the sport and he is continuing the effort to grow and cover the sport of motocross in Canada with this new site. The uber-talented Steve Matthes will be lending a hand as well so make sure you stop by and check them "oot."

Steve Flanders' www.MotoXDream.com has become the standard in fantasy supercross and motocross. Steve will be on to update us on the opener and some great changes to the series to make it even better for the team mangers in 2009.
