Press Release

We are the champions my friends

TiLube/TUF Racings gets their 6th title and Kyle Regal gets Husqvarna’s first major USA motocross championship in 40 years.

Well this is the update I have been waiting all year to write. We have won the 2015 AX championship in a wild and crazy night that could only happen in Las Vegas.

Kyle enter the night in a straight up tie with Jacob Hayes his team mate from last year. Kyle knew he needed to win and in the first main event he was on his way to the win when crazy thing number one happened. Just as he was passing Chris Blose for first Chris lost control of his bike and crashed at the end of the long whoop section. Kyle had nowhere to go and ran into Blose and went down. Hayes who was a distant third then ran over Kyle.  Regal would then remount and thanks to his electric start was up and running quickly.  He made a valiant charge to the front and came up short by a few inches.  This put Kyle one point behind going into the final main event of the year.

They second main event would decide the championship, but who would of thought it would be decided in the first 5 seconds. In what was one of the most blatant and dangerous moves I have ever seen,  Hayes first slams Regal into the cement wall in the tunnel then, when that was wasn’t good enough totally takes him out in the next turn. Kyle kept his cool and with his never give up attitude remounted in 12th place with all intentions to charge back up to the front. It was only a lap later that Hayes had to retire because of damage he caused to his own bike.  Maybe there is such a thing as Karma after all.

I don’t want to forget Gavin Faith who put together a great rookie season in AX to finish 3rd overall in the series.
