Update From Ryan Sipes - 4/26/12

Hey guys, how’s everyone doing?  I’ve
had a great week, ready to go for the weekend.  The win last weekend
kept the fire going inside me!  It felt good to get back up where I feel
like I belong.  This one was almost as special as my first at Indy last
year…all the hard work at the track, in the gym, on the bicycle and
doing therapy, and seeing that pay off, feels unbelievable.  I learned a
lot on the weekend as well, things that I know will help me down the
road.  I didn’t feel great in practice, but just kept pushing, kept
working on different things on the track, and by the main felt pretty
good.  I really focused on my start, and once we rounded the first turn
and I was out front(!), I just put my head down and tried to focus on
nothing but the track.  Trust me, I could hear the crowd going crazy out
there!  But I kept telling myself, “it’s my race, focus on me.”  Before
I knew it, it was the white flag and I had a lead, so I just cruised it
in from there.  I finally allowed myself to think that I was about to
win another supercross.  These things do not come easy, and I was
definitely overflowing with emotion.  After the tough year I’ve had, I
was ecstatic to get the win.  All the pain and frustration goes away
when you see the checkers wave for you.  But, onward and upward!
