AMA Supercross - Anaheim, CA

The Troy Lee Designs / Lucas Oil / Honda team had another trying weekend in Anaheim's Angel Stadium last weekend. After losing Christian Craig to injury two weeks ago, Travis Baker
was relegated to the sidelines after a crash in the last qualifying
session. Travis lost his front end going through the over/under bridge
and crushed his fingers between the bars and the clutch lever, leaving
him with one broken and one badly lacerated finger. Baker, who was
making improvements each week, will need a few weeks to heal before
returning to the track.

The unfortunate incident in practice meant that Cole Seely
would have to represent for the Troy Lee Designs team alone. Cole was
very quick in practice and looked good to race for the win that night.
In his heat race, a bad start would make things difficult but he put
his head down and charged up to third when the checkers flew.

When the gate dropped for the main event Cole found himself just inside
the top ten and he began moving forward. He was making great progress,
up to sixth place at one point, until a crash in the whoops left him on
the ground and shaken. He picked himself up and came into the mechanics
area for some quick adjustments, then forged on finishing eleventh.
Despite the difficulties of the night, Cole is healthy and looking
forward to redeeming himself at the next west coast round in two weeks
in San Diego.

"It was not the result I hoped for," said Cole Seely. "After LA my
confidence was high, and then Oakland was tough. I really wanted to
bounce back strong here tonight. My heat race went well, I felt like my
speed was good. Then I got a bad start in the main and I just couldn't
pull it together. We have this week off so I know we'll be ready for
San Diego. It's one of my favorite places to race, so I'm excited."

"I was really bummed for my team," said Travis Baker.
"Everybody works so hard to get us ready, it's just a bummer I couldn't
race. But my hand is not too bad, we'll get it fixed up and I will be
back out there soon."

Anaheim 2 Supercross once again commemorated Breast Cancer
Awareness, and to show their support Cole Seely and Travis Baker both
wore custom pink TLD gear, helmets and boots; all of which will be up
for auction with proceeds benefiting the Keep-A-Breast Foundation, and
Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Auction information to be announced.

The AMA Supercross West Coast Lites Championship resumes
February 19th at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Catch the event Live on
Speed TV at 10:30pm EST.
