Toyota Yamaha Canadian Arenacross Kicks Off This Friday and Saturday Night!

The Toyota Yamaha Canadian Arenacross Championships are finally here. Arenacross action kicks off this Friday and Saturday night, November 9th and 10th at Chilliwack’s Heritage Park Arena. (Exit 116 of Hwy 1) Riders from across the Pacific Northwest are lining up to compete. Private practice is already underway. Colton Facciotti, Kyle Beaton, Ryan Lockhart and Shane Weibe tested out the track Tuesday night with positive comments about this weekend’s track. The track building duo of John Verdonk and Al Snow have put together a great track for this weekend which should be very entertaining for the fans.

Tony Cording marketing manager for Nex Trax has put together dealer and industry support from all over the province which is very much appreciated. Each evening will feature key dealer nights. Friday night’s featured dealers are RTR Performance out of Kamloops, Maple Ridge Kawasaki, Holeshot Racing KTM of Langley, Big Top Powersports Chilliwack and Valley Yamaha of Chilliwack. Saturday’s key dealers will be Carter Honda Coquitlam/Vancouver, Holeshot Racing Kawasaki of Langley, Maple Ridge Motorsports KTM, Jim Pattison Suzuki of Burnaby, and Daytona Motorsports Yamaha of Surrey.

New to Arenacross this year will be the “Yamaha Rider Academy” which will give a chance for all youngsters to try out the sport of motocross. An area has been set aside to set up a small course for beginner riders to get dressed up and be taught how to ride the latest in Yamaha’s beginner range of mini bikes. Bring the kids and let ‘em ride.

In addition, Valley Toyota of Chilliwack will be bringing their latest line-up of Toyota pick-up truck so be sure to cruise the pits talk to the riders and take a look and Toyota’s new line.

Doors open 6pm Friday and Saturday night with racing starting at 7pm! Bring the whole family for some adrenalin pumping heart pounding Arenacross action!

SixSixOne puts its money where its name is - Rick Sheren, President of SixSixOne has stepped up to the plate and will be awarding a cash grand prize of Six Hundred and Sixty One dollars to the top rider in the MX1 final at Chilliwack on Saturday November 10. But SixSixOne has not forgotten the mid-pack amateur rider - SixSixOne will also be awarding a $66.00 gift certificate to one sixth place finisher in an amateur class to be selected on each of the 8 arenacross race nights.

Motovan, Holeshot Racing and Duncan Motorcycles team up to give away 8 ZOX helmets at the Chilliwack and Island races. Holeshot Racing will present in Chilliwack and Duncan Motorcycles at the Nanaimo races.

Fox Racing giving riders the gear - Shawn McDougall of Fox Racing will be donating 2 sets of riding gear for 2 lucky winners during the series.....announcements on classes later.

Denny's and Holeshot will also be working together to bring you to the breakfast table. Holeshot will be giving out Denny's two for one breakfast coupons throughout the entire Arenacross race series and beyond. Pick these up at the ticket booth or at sign up.

Daytona Motorsports and Rob Goth have a nice suprise for fans at the November 10 Arenacross races - wait and see, and keep your eyes and ears open. Someone is going to walk away a winner!

BlackfootDirect's Team Toyota Yamaha BlackfootDirect/Fox Racing Team will be donating 2 sets of team gear to a couple of lucky winners through the series.
