Press Release

Tony Cairoli MX1-World Champion

This
past Sunday,
Tony
Cairoli, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team and the entire KTM
Orange Family celebrated Cairoli’s victory in the 2010 MX1 World
Championship when he secured the title in Campo Grand, Brazil.
Cairoli’s successful defense of his title is at the same time a
triumphant first season with the new KTM 350 SX-F bike.

Cairoli
secured the MX1 World Championship title two GPs before the end of
the season in what was the 24-year-old’s first season with the Red
Bull KTM Factory Racing Team. It is also an important milestone in
the history of KTM Motorsport. With the title victory in the most
important motocross discipline, KTM has illustrated its indisputable
competence with a completely new and courageous technical concept.
This further secures position of KTM as market leader in the
production of sports-oriented offroad bikes. KTM, the company that
prides itself on being “Ready to Race” places enormous importance
in creating and marketing bikes that allow offroad sports enthusiasts
to win titles and races at events that span everything from the elite
world championships to national, regional and club level.

Cairoli,
the winner of seven GPs on his factory 350 SX-F wrapped up the title
with two races still in hand after having won 13 of 26 motos in the
MX1 class allowing the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team to bring home
the trophy. The multiple world champion was only off the podium once
(at the GP of Germany when he finished in fourth place)

It
was a sensational performance also for the revolutionary new KTM 350
SX-F bike, developed in

close cooperation with 10-time Word Champion Stefan Everts, who heads
the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team.

Tony
Cairoli MX1 World Champion: “Together we set ourselves an extremely
high goal and that we managed to reach it is thanks to the perfect
team and the perfect technology. It’s a fantastic feeling.”

Cairoli’s
Championship win can be attributed to his talent, professional work
ethic and the hard work of the KTM Factory Team under the leadership
of Motocross Director Stefan Everts, Head of KTM Racing Pit Beirer
and the valuable support of Cairoli’s manager Claudio De Carli as
well as the KTM 350 SX-F four-stroke machine introduced for the first
time this year.

Even
before the official season
Cairoli
rode the KTM 350 SX-F to victory in the Starcross Mantova pre-season
race in Italy, a sensational performance for the first ever race for
the new bike. Since then he has continually proven that with him at
the controls, this agile machine more than matches the MX1
competition bikes with bigger motors.
