Class and put his Kawasaki out front for the first five laps. On Lap 6,
Weimer was run high in a corner and went down, but remounted and worked
his way up to 11th by the end of the race. Ryan Villopoto made his way
up to fourth after going off the track on the opening lap. Class rookie
Broc Tickle put in the best ride of the season with a solid eighth-place

Out
in Lucerne Valley, Calif., the AMA National Hare and Hound Series got
underway with the first round of the season following a rain storm that
hit the area on Saturday. Reigning champion Kurt Caselli started his
title defense with an impressive win. Also on the podium was Thor’s
David Kamo, while Destry Abbott finished just off the podium in fourth
after having a rear-brake failure and nursing his bike to the finish.
