Thor Mega Series Returns to Muddy Creek

Blountville, Tenn. The 2009 THOR MEGA Series presented by DUNLOP makes its return to Muddy Creek Raceway this weekend May 16 & 17.


The series is even more competitive this year than in the past and riders are getting a true test of their speed in every moto. The last event at Muddy Creek was a real barn burner featuring 55 riders in the 450 pro class. Last year’s pro champion Brad Modjewski is in the top 3 in points in only one class. Cameron Stone from Brentwood, Tn is leading the 250 pro class points chase over Matt Bell. In the 450 pro class its Kevin Walker leading Stone.


This weekend’s event will be round # 7 of the series. Saturday is practice day 9:30am til 3:30pm then Sunday is racing with practice at 8:00am and racing to follow.


About the THOR MEGA SERIES: The THOR UNITED STATES MEGA Series presented by DUNLOP is a 16 race motocross series that runs in Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. The AMA sanctioned series starts the first of March and runs through the middle of October. The series offers 40 different classes of racing, 4 year old pee wees, to beginner classes, to 50 + senior men, to the pros.
