Press Release

Team MXdesignz.com/Shea Racing’s Teddy Parks is one of the lucky ones in AMA Supercross

With team and Warthog Racing behind him, Parks continues to make the night program

ANAHEIM, Calif. (January 26, 2010) – Thousands of youth across the country dream of riding the triples and crossing the finish line of a Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship round. Take from that group the hundred or so who actually are capable of earning a pro license and have the support to compete in a qualifier, then you have a small group of riders who are living their dreams. Team MXdesignz.com/Shea Racing’s Teddy Parks continues to live his dream—not only does he have the support behind him to go to every round, so far he is also making every night program in his 450 Supercross Class rookie season.

Since 2005, Tim Shea and his Shea Racing outfit have been supporting privateer racers who show potential and do not have the backing. This year, with the partnership of Warthog Racing, Shea Racing stepped up to bring back Parks to the team and advance him into the Supercross Class. While he may not be lighting the world on fire YET, he has made every night program on his JM Racing-tuned Kawasaki KX450F. That is an accomplishment most young riders across the country only hope for.

This brings us to round three of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross at Angel’s Stadium in Anaheim, California this past Saturday, January 23. Team MXdesignz.com/Shea Racing’s Parks continues to improve during his timed practice sessions. At Anaheim he had the second-best time in his group which set the stage for the evening program. This was Parks first top-five qualifying position out of his group this season.

Parks’ participation in the evening program began with heat two where he started in 17th place and worked his way up to 15th at the checkers. Six places outside of the transfer with one more shot. In the six-lap LCQ he finished ninth, not transferring to the main. Parks will take the momentum from his strong qualifying times and the new experience racing the premier class to the next round to continue to improve and live his dream.

“We were very impressed with Teddy’s qualifying position,” said Shea. “When he does his best we are happy, and I always know he his pushing hard out there. His speed and endurance continues to improve. Teddy’s great with the fans and will hang at our pit for hours signing autographs. This means he’s awesome for our sponsors. To go to this level of the Supercross Class is not possible without MXdesignz.com, Warthog Racing, FLY Racing, JM Racing, Race Director Teddy Parks Sr., and our many other sponsors. On to round four!”

Head to AT&T Park in San Francisco, California this Saturday, January 30 to meet and watch one of the lucky ones in motocross, Teddy Parks, as he takes to the stadium track for round four of Monster Energy AMA Supercross. Also be sure to stop by the Team MXdesignz.com/Shea Racing pit, next to the Warthog Racing rig, to check out some of the MXdesignz graffiti-inspired apparel.
