Team GPF/Babbitt's Online Returns to Toyota AMA Arenacross Series, Led by '07 Rookie Travis Sewell

Zach Ames, Dave Ginolfi and Sewell brothers Travis and  Shane, will Make up the Team GPF/Babbitt’s Kawasaki-Running Toyota AMA Arenacross Series Program for 2007-’08

AURORA, Ill. (October 30, 2007) – Several of the Midwest’s top Toyota AMA Arenacross Series racers have signed to race with this year’s Team GPF (Georgia Practice Facility)/Babbitt’s Online program, kicking off the 2007/’08 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series in a few short weeks at Des Moines’ (Iowa) Wells Fargo Arena.

Leading Team GPF/Babbitt’s Online on the Kawasaki KX250F bikes will be the 2006-’07 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series Rookie of the Year, Travis Sewell (Westville, Ind.). Last year, the 19-year-old rookie on the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series made 14 of the 18 main events he entered and, more importantly, finished within the top 10 in the overall standings in 12 of those 14 events.

Joining Travis Sewell in contesting the AMA Arenacross class will be the equally fast Zack Ames (Prospect, Ohio). Ames, known for his quick starts, made a name for himself two years ago on the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series when he finished 8th overall in the premier AMA Arenacross class for 2005-’06.

Dave Ginolfi (Lake Hopatong, N.J.) and Shane Sewell, Travis’ 19-year-old younger brother, will race the AMA Arenacross Lites class for Team GPS/Babbitt’s Online.

“We are really stoked to begin building on the success of our inaugural Toyota AMA Arenacross Series season in 2006-’07,” said Team GPS/Babbitt’s Online team manager Ray Woods. “GPS and Babbitt’s Online have pulled together more than a dozen sponsors (listed below) to help with this very solid program and we’re looking forward to the gate dropping at Des Moines!”

In addition to the aforementioned racers, Team GPF/Babbitt’s Online will help a number of rookie racers “test the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series waters,” according to Woods. These young racers include: Brad Keister (Grant, Mich.), Wyatt Gilmore (Benton Harbor, Mich.) and Kyle Brown (Lake Odessa, Mich.).
