Team Fun Center Suzuki Announces Replacements

BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series

Fort Worth, TX (January 16, 2007) – Greg Lynk, Manager for the Team Fun Center Suzuki has made it official, Willy Browning will replace Josh Woods who went down last Saturday night at the BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series in Chicago. Woods suffered broken bones in both his right and left hands, putting an end to an up and down season.

“After seeing the doctor, I found out I have broken my 4th metacarpal in my right hand and the 5th metacarpal in my left hand,” said Woods. “After being hurt and struggling the first half of the series, I felt I had finally found my speed and confidence this past weekend in Chicago. I know we had the best bikes and all the tools needed to win a championship, needless to say this is not how I wanted to finish the arenacross season.”

With Woods out, this opened the door for Willy Browning to secure a ride for the remainder of the BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series. “This is a great opportunity on a great team,” said Browning. “I understand how tough this series is, so my plan this weekend is to make the main then settle in to see how my speed will be.”

Lynk has had his hands full over the past couple of weeks. Michael Blose, injured his ACL and is currently replaced by Jared Browne. Browne had two top 10 positions last weekend in Chicago for his debut ride on the Fun Center Suzuki.

Lynk commented, “With the recent news from Josh, I spoke with Cole (Gress, Suzuki Motor Company) about a fill in rider for the remainder of the season and we came up with Willy Browning. I wanted to make sure this was OK with everyone. I spoke with Michael yesterday as well and he is going to have to get his ACL repaired with an operation. The team is behind both our riders 100% and wishes them both a speedy recovery. We really appreciate all the support from everyone through these rough times, and I know we will all come out stronger from it.”
