Team Fiber Wise Pasta/ Sano Systems/ XO Energy Drink Update

Chicago, IL (January 16, 2007) - The boys at Team Fiber Wise Pasta/ Sano Systems/ XO Energy Drink have been busy lately, most recently at their hometown race in Chicago this past weekend.

Team owner and rider Tommy “Sleepwalker” Hofmaster made the podium at round 6 of the BooKoo Arenacross series with a third place finish in the 250cc class on Friday. Oklahoma’s Colt “45” Humprey reached the podium twice on Saturday after spending the night in the local hospital after being knocked out during Friday’s 450cc final. Team member Ryan Beat is also steadily improving with a season best eighth place finish on Saturday. Hofmaster holds down fifth in the points with four rounds remaining, while Humphrey is in eighth and Beat is in 13th and looking to move up as well.

Both Humphrey and Beat have also been racing in the pitbike class and they hold second and third in the standings. Colt has one win and many podiums aboard his Sano-prepped 110, while Beat has been oh-so-close to winning several times and has many podiums aboard his Reeg/CHP/Sano-backed 110.

Hofmaster had an interesting trip over the wall and into the “bullpen” at round four in Ft. Worth a few weeks back, the same nine foot wall that Michael Blose’s bike went over as well. Both insane crashes were caught on tape and will be shown later in the year. On a side note, it was nice to see all of the family and friends of the team at both the Ft. Worth and Chicago rounds. It was also nice to meet all the corporate employees from Fiber Wise Pasta at Chicago, thanks for rooting us on!

Over the lengthy break before the holidays, the team rig was re-wrapped thanks to the fine folks over at DC Auto Wraps. The team also signed on DeVol Engineering as a returning co-sponsor and would like to thank them as well and we will be sporting their products, armor and logos on our bikes from here on.

The team had a Fiber Wise Pasta cookout on Saturday night in the pits at the new Chicago round and it was a hit with team crews, riders, track crew, fans and even the guys from Chet Burkes Productions who filmed it and may do a TV segment on the team on a future show. Look for another Fiber Wise Pasta dinner cookout this Saturday night after practice in Ft. Wayne and also at select other rounds and races throughout the 2007 season.
