Team FMF Suzuki Off Road Continues Podium Streak at GNCC Round 8

Millfield, Ohio (June 7, 2009) – Team FMF Suzuki Off Road has been winning GNCC races and Championships for almost two decades. The team also currently holds the record for the most podiums in history, as well as the most podiums in a season. Actually, it’s almost three seasons now that Team FMF Suzuki has had a bike and rider on the podium at every race. It’s an unbroken streak that continues with Josh Strang’s third place finish at round eight of the 2009 GNCC Series.

Strang started the race in dead last. From there, Strang and his teammate Charlie Mullins battled each other through the field to take third place and fourth place before running out of time to catch the leaders.

"The track conditions were good," Strang said. "I was looking forward to it. I had a bad start and by the end of the first lap I was 16 seconds down or something.  By the second lap I dropped 40 seconds. I thought I was riding pretty well. I tried to push hard. I'm not very happy but I'll take the points. I'm looking forward to getting the points back at the next race."

“You win Championships with consistency and hard work,” said Team Manager Mike Webb. “This team has all the tools and has put in the work, and it shows with our unbroken podium streak. These boys are either winning or on the boxes and it’ll pay off at the end of the season.”

Strang’s third place finish kept him in a close race for the Championship with 186 points and four victories. Mullins is close behind with 179 points and one victory. Of the eight rounds run so far this season in the GNCC Series, Team FMF Suzuki Off Road has won five and been on the podium every single race.
