Team Bad Boy signs Jeff Alessi and Jake Marsack for the 2008 AMA Supercross Series

Team Bad Boy, sponsored by Bad Boy Power Drink, officially announced the signing of Jeff Alessi # 801 and Jake Marsack # 66 to ride for the team in the 2008 AMA Supercross Series. Alessi, from Victorville, CA, and Marsack, from Flint, Michigan, will both compete in the Supercross class.

"We'd been waiting to announce our plans for the 2008 Supercross season because we're still searching for the right helmet and gear sponsors, but with the success both riders have had lately, we couldn't hold back," said Team Bad Boy manager Rick Ware.

On November 3rd, Jeff Alessi took the checkered flag in the Pro Open division of the 2007 Future West ACU British Supercross Championship in Sheffield, England. Alessi rode his Bad Boy Power Drink / PAR Honda from the holeshot to the finish line for an impressive victory.

"We spent three days testing with Jeff prior to the Sheffield Supercross, working on suspension and tire combinations, " said Cal Northrop, Team Bad Boy's general manager and suspension expert. "We built a shock that Jeff loved through the whoop section and our segment times just kept getting faster and faster. Jeff's only 18 years old, but he works hard, and he rides hard. He knows what it takes to win." Jake Marsack had a great run in the MX1 division of the ‘Supercross de Montreal’ at Montreal Olympic Stadium last month. His lap times were top 5 in every session. And in September, Marsack swept all 3 motos in the AMA Motocross Manufacturer's Cup at Mid-Ohio Motocross Course. Marsack will be testing with Team Bad Boy the week before Thanksgiving to prepare for the 08 SX season.

On November 1st, Bad Boy Power Drink announced their sponsorship of Arenacross defending champion Danny Smith, and his TUF Racing teammate, the 2006 champion, Chad Johnson, in the 2008 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series. Bad Boy Power Drink is also sponsoring # 74 Ivo Stenbergs, the # 1 rider from Latvia, in the 2008 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series. Bad Boy Power Drink teamed up with the Latvian Motorcyclists Federation and finished 15th overall in the 61st Motocross of Nations on September 22 and 23, 2007, at Budds Creek Motocross Park. Stenbergs was one of the three riders representing Latvia and Team Bad Boy in the event.

In the first round of the 2008 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series this past weekend, Johnson, riding the # 10 TUF Racing / Bad Boy Power Drink Honda, won the Arenacross class main event at Wells Fargo Arena by six seconds over teammate and fellow Bad Boy, Danny Smith.

"This is a very exciting time for Team Bad Boy. We've got some incredible riders, a fantastic crew, and a sponsor that believes in us," said Rick Ware. "2008 is going to be a great year for Team Bad Boy and a great year for Bad Boy Power Drink."
