Press Release

Tag Metals FACTORY8 race team update from Vegas

Valencia, Calif. – The Tag Metals Factory8 team had another great amateur week this week. Four of the eight athletes were in attendance last week. Futrell and Catanzaro stayed back east, while Leib and Engle were out with injuries.

Christian Craig:

Christian piloted his Tag Metals/Yamaha to 2nd place finish in the 450Mod PRO class. He also finished 4th in the 250 Mod PRO class. Christian had great speed all week long and proved that he has upped his game in 2009.

Killy Rusk:

This relatively unknown rider has come out of New Mexico this year with FIRE in his eyes. He finished 3rd in the Schoolboy non-pro, and 4th in the 4stroke non-pro class. Killy is really making a name for himself and is turning heads over at Suzuki. Keep your eye on this guy.

Bryce Stewart:

Bryce backed up his great showing in Texas with a pair of 5th place finishes in the Schoolboy non-pro and the 250Mod Int. classes. Bryce looked great on his Yamaha all weekend and won a few motos as well.

Terren Odell:

Terren looks like he’s getting his legs underneath him now. He got better every moto. He was running great lap times but was victim of poor starts all week long. He finished with a 7th in the 250 stk pro class, and 8th in the 450 mod Pro class. We’re looking for big things out of Terren and he is getting better every week. By Loretta’s this kid will be a contender in the pro class.

About TAG METALS Factory8 race team:

The Factory8 race team is a concept that will help bring top amateur riders into the limelight. Amateur motocross is the backbone of our sport. Within the industry, we all know who the top up and comers are, but the general enthusiast doesn’t find out about the new kids until they show up at Millville every year. Tag Metals wants to bridge that gap for EIGHT of the top amateurs in the country. The Factory8 team riders will be treated as Professional Factory riders by Tag Metals. The Factory8 will be featured in advertisements for Tag Metals products globally. These riders will get exclusive handlebars for national events, prototype products, ONE-OFF products developed exclusively for them (such as their name and riding number on their bars) -and the like. Tag Metals will also incorporate these eight riders into their product development team. Historically, our professional race teams have helped us develop our products exclusively. By focusing a portion of the development efforts with the amateur riders, we can get additional information from the younger riders that we hope injects some new light into our offering.
