TLD’s Noren Makes It Three Weekend’s In A Row With Career-Best Finish

Washougal, Wash. (July 25, 2015) – Troy Lee Designs rider Fredrik Noren tied his career-best finish for the third round in a row by going seventh overall on a muddy and tough track at Washougal MX Park just outside Portland, Oregon. The conditions seemed to bring out the best in the Swede’s riding style, helping him score a notable 9-7 moto result.

When Noren lined up for Moto 1, the rain was lightly falling and the track was rutted and deep. He got out to a decent start in 13th and was quickly trying to make up time. He broke into the top 10 and ended up settling for ninth at the end of the opening race.

By Moto 2, the rain had stopped, but the track was even deeper and rutted than the first race. Noren got out to a 16th-place start but was on a mission to score better than his opening moto. Every couple of laps he would pick off riders and eventually made it up to seventh, placing him seventh overall on the day.

“I wasn’t sure I was even going to be back with the Team Honda HRC because Trey (Canard) was coming back,” said Noren. “I am bummed that Cole got hurt, but happy to give the team another solid finish.”

TLD rider Cole Seely was forced to sit out the Washougal round as he continues to get tests on an injured shoulder. His return timeline is uncertain, but he’s still holding out hope that he can return before the end of the season.

Noren was sporting the 2016 SE Caution Flo Yellow/Black Racewear. See more of the 2016 gear sets and the2016 Moto Helmets online and at your local TLD retailer.
