The AMA Supercross Series put another round in the books by visiting Minneapolis, Minnesota’s Metrodome for the first time in several seasons. Star Racing/NCY/Yamaha backed Jake Moss arrived with all intentions of redeeming not only himself, but the entire team as well.

His night of racing started out promising, when in Heat race #2 he was able to take his FMF supported ride up to 3rd quite convincingly allowing the Aussie to secure a good gate pick for the finale. Lites East coast Main event number four took to the track with Moss sitting a few spots outside the top five. Within a short amount of time, Moss moved to 4th and held there until he lost the wheels momentarily. After keeping the bike running he resumed to racing only dropping one position to 5th, as the halfway point passed the rookie was in clear sailing once again. However, inside of two laps to go while executing a slick turn that lead to a small double jump, a misjudgment of traction lead to his front wheel breaking loose as he entered the air. This resulted to yet another tumble; unfortunately this second crash kept Jake from completing the race and left him with a finish tally of 21st.

Lites racing now takes a break for two weekends and resumes in Dallas, Texas. But, there’s no resting in the Star camp as we are deep into our outdoor motocross preparation here in Southern California.

Star Racing thanks our valued sponsors for their great assistance.
