Stance Rides into Performance with its First Fusion Moto Collection

The Brand also Announces Four New Punks & Poets and Expands its Partnership with Troy Lee

SAN CLEMENTE, California (June 2, 2015) – Today Stance released its first ever Fusion Moto collection – a lineup of 18 styles that blend unique artistry and technical excellence built to exceed the demands of any rider. In conjunction with the launch of the new sock line, Stance also officially welcomes the Punks & Poets that have inspired the category: Kenny Roczen, Chad Reed, Jason Anderson, and Cole Seely. Stance also continues a partnership with Troy Lee and his racing program.

Once an overlooked piece of rider equipment, Stance changes that with art and technology that hone in on the specific needs of an MX athlete and enthusiast. The Moto sock features an elastic arch support and engineered compression to provide lasting fit and support. The Fusion Moto socks are knit with a custom blend of proprietary fibers that offer durability, superior moisture wicking and breathability to help feet stay cool and dry during even the hottest of rides.

“Stance is committed to engineering the most technical and best looking sock on the market,” said Mikey Rangel, Director of Moto at Stance. “It’s amazing to partner with a team of athletes that so perfectly represent the Stance culture and work with us to not only race in, but aid in the development of our performance Moto product.”

The partnership with Troy Lee includes a team sponsorship and collaborative projects that will roll out later this year.

The Stance Fusion Moto Collection is available now at Stance.com and at authorized moto retailers. With three different tiers of product ranging from $18 to $25, there are multiple options to suit the demands of any rider.

Stance Moto Punks & Poets

Kenny Roczen is known as a prodigy in the MX world and is considered by many one of the most naturally talented racers. Kenny burst into the professional scene when he became the youngest rider ever to win an MX2 World Championship race and Grand Prix, then later became MX2 World Champion in 2011. Since then he has earned himself both a 250 West Coast Supercross championship and 450 class U.S. Motocross championship.

“I love the culture of Stance and it’s fun to be a part of such a passionate brand,” said Kenny Roczen. “The Moto socks are next level and I am really excited to grow with the program.”

Chad Reed made his mark on the motocross world after winning two Australian national championships back to back in 1999 and 2000. After moving to the states, Reed won a Supercross title in his first attempt. He then graduated to the premier class and has won two Supercross titles and one Outdoor title. Reed has proven to be the most consistent Supercross/Motocross racer of the past decade, and is a staple for the sport of motocross.

Jason Anderson established himself early in the ranks claiming 72 amateur titles during his young career. Shortly after going professional he earned himself the 250 West Supercross Championship in 2014 and the next year had solid podium finishes during his rookie season in the 450 class.

Cole Seely began racing BMX at age three which led to amateur motocross racing. After turning pro in 2009, Seely managed to climb the ranks and won multiple 250 West rounds before graduating to the 450 class in 2015 where he earned himself his first premier class win, third in the championship, and Rookie of the Year.

ABOUT STANCE

Embracing “The Uncommon Thread” as its mantra, Stance turned socks into one of the world’s most exciting categories in less than five years. Stance’s founders saw a category that had been ignored, taken for granted, looked over, dismissed. By breathing life into something that had been overlooked, Stance ignited a movement of art and self-expression that has drawn athletes, performers and iconic cultural influencers to the brand – a group they call the Punks & Poets. And by underpinning its creative roots with a relentless focus on technical innovation, Stance is now found in over 40 countries on the feet of those who dare to be different, and will be launching its first underwear line later this year.
