Short and Brayton Finish in the Top Ten at Santa Clara

Camarillo, CA (Apr.20, 2015)–  Team BTO Sports headed out west to the Northern California city of Santa Clara for the 15thround of the 2015 Monster Energy Supercross, as the series broke in the new Levi’s Stadium Saturday Night.  As Bubba Burger was grilled up for the  fans at the team’s pit party, both Andrew Short and Justin Brayton rode strong and finished in the top ten Saturday Night.

As the track conditions resembled more of an outdoor track with big rocks everywhere, Andrew Short bolted on a set ofAcerbishandguards this weekend and took to the track posting the 9thquickest time of the afternoon. This year’s “King of Holeshots” continued his string of starts, as he used the power from his KTM Factory Services motor to lead the field to the first turn in his heat race and rode strong to finish second, securing a spot in the main event.  In the main, Short used the traction from hisPirelliScorpion MX tires to start strong up front, just missing out on the 6thholeshot in a row.  He would have his work cut out for him, as he would go down early. From there, he would re-mount and put on a charge through the field, working his way up in to the top ten and take the checkered flag in 9thplace. With two rounds remaining, Short is 9thplace in Championship points.
"Overall it was a  good race” said Short. “I felt good out there tonight. I am looking forward to these last two rounds and finishing the season off strong.”
Justin Brayton continues to improve and looked at home on the technical track during afternoon practice, posting the 12thfastest time of the day. He would transfer to the main event through a solid ride in his heat race, as he battled to take 4thplace. With his eyes on the front, Brayton continued his strong ride in the main event. HisFMF Racingexhaust propelled him to a good start where he would battle inside the front pack.  On the gas throughout the race, Brayton’s consistency and late charge and would put him in 7thplace at the checkered flag.
“Tonight was a step forward in the right direction” said Brayton of his night. “I ran up front for the first half of the race. I am looking forward to getting a top 5 before the end of the season and continuing to improve.”
