Sherri Cruse Finishes '08 Season With a Win

Bakersfield, Calif., Oct 23, 2008 – WMA’s Sherri Cruse finished out an
exceptional race season with a win in the Women’s Pro class at the final
round of the WORCS series held this past weekend at Honolulu Hills Raceway,
Taft, CA.

Cruse, who has had a breakthrough season in women’s motocross, closed out
the WORCS series in style by holding off tough competition from Carter
Powersports Kawasaki’s Penni Cyrus, and series points leader RPM Racing Team
KTM’s Maria Forsberg. Although she was unable to contend all of the rounds
of the WORCS series she tied Forsberg (the 2008 WORCS Champion) for event
wins.

The 19-year-old Suzuki rider had a tremendous year of racing. She had her
first moto WMA Pro win at Thunder Valley MX, in Lakewood, CO joining an
elite group of racers (only four) to win a moto in 2008. She also made the
WMA Pro podium multiple times throughout the season, and won a silver medal
in the inaugural Women’s Moto X racing at the X Games, which aired live on
ABC.

With her last ride on Zip Ty Racing/Macolm Smith Suzuki, the motocross,
off-road and supercross racer will begin preparing for the WMA Cup at
Freestone County Raceway, Wortham, TX, January 1, 2009.

Sherri would like to thank her 2008 sponsors for all of their support:
Zip-Ty Racing, Malcolm Smith Motorsports, Accelerade, J and J COPPER, Roundy
17, Alsup Racing, Team Goober, Ryan Abler, Randy D and Family, and Miki
Keller.
