Seely Keeps Up Momentum in St. Louis with Fourth Place

St. Louis, Mo. (March 28, 2015) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely had another strong showing at the 13th Round of the Monster Energy Supercross series, taking place at the Edward Jones Dome. His fourth-place finish in the Gateway City was his fourth consecutive finish in the top four, moving him within eight points of third in the 450SX Championship standings.

Seely continued his push for a late season podium streak and nearly got it in St. Louis. He qualified straight through his heat race and was ready for the 20-lap Main Event, but his start didn’t help him as he crossed the holeshot line in ninth. Seely immediately got to work and made his way through the pack, passing up to fourth just after halfway through the race.

“It was definitely a solid night, but I would have loved to have been on the podium again,” said Seely. “I just didn’t get the start I needed to be up front, and had to make some hard passes to get to fourth. I’m really looking forward to the weekend off and get rested up to have a good remainder of the season."

Seely moved closer to third in the championship standings, now sitting just eight points back of third with four races remaining.

Seely was wearing the 2015 GP Air Cheetah and the 2015 SE3 One Shot Black/White CF Helmet. Check out all of the 2015 gear sets and the 2015 Moto Helmets online and find your local TLD retailer.
