Rockstar/Hart and Huntington Honda Indianapolis Race Report

Indianapolis, Indiana - The AMA Supercross series reached its ninth round this past weekend in Indianapolis and the brand new Lucas Oil Stadium was the venue. Over sixty thousand fans saw heartbreak for the Rockstar/Hart and Huntington Honda team as team rider Troy Adams had some troubles and failed to qualify for the 450 main event. Adams, from Brooksville Florida, got terrible starts and worked through the pack but ultimately, came up short in both the heat race and the last chance qualifier. This week’s DNQ marked the first time four races that Adams has not made the main event and certainly sunnier days lie ahead for the friendly Adams as the series moves to his home state in Daytona Florida this coming weekend.

“I gave it all I could and just couldn’t get off the line as well as I would’ve liked” said Troy after the race “I’m just going to put it behind me and look forward to Daytona, that place is awesome and I’m going to be in front of my home fans.”

“It’s a bummer for sure but as bad as I feel, I know Troy feels worse for letting the team down” reported team manager Kenny Watson “He’ll do better and we’re still there for him.”

Qualifying or not, the team is always a hit among the fans as this weekend the cold weather prevented the team from setting up fully but if anyone comes to Daytona this weekend, come on out and get an autograph and a free Rockstar Energy drink.
