Rockstar/Hart & Huntington Honda Salt Lake City Supercross Race Report

Salt Lake City, UT - The penultimate round of the AMA Supercross series took place this past weekend in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah and the Rockstar/Hart & Huntington Honda team had great results. Team riders Matt Boni and Troy Adams both put their Honda CRF 450’s in the main event with Boni getting a very impressive and a career high-matching eighth place. Adams was seventeenth after a crash.

Both riders had impressive heat race results considering that, due to the weather, the second set of practices were cancelled and the riders had to learn the track fast. Boni, from Geneva Florida, scored fourth in heat two and Adams, from Brooksville Florida, got seventh in that same heat. Both riders went straight to the main event. Due to Boni’s finish, he is now in the lead for the pro privateer challenge that is awarded to the top non-factory placing rider in the series. Boni holds down eleventh in the points and Adams is in twenty-second.

“We’re happy that our guys have re-focused and are really riding great right now. We set out to prove that we’re here to mix it up with the top teams and I think we’ve done that” said team manager Kenny Watson after the race. If you’re going to the Las Vegas final, make sure you stop in at the

Rockstar/Hart & Huntington Honda pits and grab a Rockstar and hang out for a bit. It’s Vegas and our team knows how to have a good time!
