Rockstar Energy Suzuki Makes Their Eastern Regional Debut

Indianapolis, IN - February 23, 2010 - The AMA/FIM Supercross
Series moved east for the first time over the weekend to Lucas Oil
Stadium in Indianapolis, marking the beginning of the Eastern Regional
Lites Division championship. The domed stadium provided perfect racing
conditions, and shielded the riders and the crowd from the cold
outside. The track proved to be a difficult one, with tricky obstacles
and a slick surface that required very precise throttle control, but it
made for some fantastic racing action.

The beginning of the
Eastern Regional championship also meant the debut of Rockstar Energy
Suzuki riders Blake Baggett and Jake Moss. Indy was Baggett’s first
professional Supercross, which would be enough to rattle anyone’s
nerves, but Blake raced like a pro and finished just outside the top
ten. Jake Moss recently suffered a broken wrist, and as a result had to
spend some time away from riding, but he was looking fast as he
finished just behind Baggett and took 12th place in the main.

Supercross
class rider Tommy Hahn was back to racing at Indy, after battling a
severe case of the flu that prevented him from racing at Anaheim 3. “I
was struggling at Indy,” said Hahn. “It was a tough track, and I caught
a really nasty bug over the [Anaheim 3] weekend, and was just feeling
exhausted all of last week. I’m just trying to focus on getting to 100
percent for Atlanta now.”  Tommy finished 7th in his heat race, and16th
in the Supercross main event. He is currently 10th in the championship
points standings.

With the first race of the Eastern Regional
Lites championship over, and the next race in Atlanta looming ahead,
the riders will be hitting the practice track hard this week, hoping to
improve their chances at the podium. The next race will be at the
Georgia Dome in Atlanta on Saturday, February 27.

Tommy
Hahn, coming off an illness which sidelined him last week, stays in the
top 10 in overall points after the Indianapolis round of racing.

Jake Moss finished 12th in the Eastern Regional Lites race.

Blake Baggett finished 11th in the Lites class in his professional racing debut.
