Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2011 Announcement‏

Beginning in April 2011, the best FMX riders in
the world will fight for the coveted title at the Red Bull X-Fighters
World Tour taking place over six events on four continents. This year’s
new locations are set in the UAE and Australia for the season’s finale
as well as returns to Spain, Italy, Brazil and Poland.

“If you need to win one series in order to gain
immortality, then it is definitely this one,“ stressed Nate Adams after
the season final in 2010. Adams, who captured the title without winning
a single event but by showing great consistency, looked back on the
five-event season which included 770 jumps, 524 flips and nearly 55,000
feet travelled through air by the world's top riders.

But 2011 will hold yet another challenge for the current
champion and his competitors. The series will kick off in United Arab
Emirates on April 15. Events in Brazil (May 28), Italy (June 24), Spain
(July 15) and Poland (August 6) will follow, before the World Tour will
finish in Australia (September 17) for the first time in its ten-year
history. Andre Villa, who was only five points behind the champion
during the past season and contender for the runner-up spot, explained:
“The slightest mistake is enough and the chance to win the title is
gone.“

Beginning in 2001, the Red Bull X-Fighters set new
standards on an international level. Since then, top stars in the scene
have queued up for starting places at this event and rookies like Levis
Sherwood (NZL) were brought to light with the help of this series. Red
Bull X-Fighters take place at locations where you would never expect
world-class motorsports. The World Tour stops at the most famous cities
and historic sites around the world. Adams (USA), Robbie Maddison
(AUS), Villa (NOR), Mat Rebeaud (SUI), Dany Torres (ESP), Levi Sherwood
(NZL) and many more have fascinated hundreds of thousands of fans at
large bullfighting arenas in Mexico City and Spain (Valencia and
Madrid), at the Sphinx of Giza, Red Square in Moscow and The Fort Worth
Stockyards, as well as in the Brazilian metropolis of Rio de Janeiro
and in the Eternal City of Rome.
