Red Bull KTM Makes an Adjustment (to the Leak Jet)

After Mike Alessi’s successful performance using the Merge Adjustable Leak Jet at the Thunder Valley National, Red Bull KTM has made the decision to outfit all of the team motorcycles with the Merge ALJ.

“The team was constantly dismantling carbs to change out leak jets at every race,” states Kurt Nicholl, Red Bull KTM Racing Director.  “We tested the Merge ALJ in Colorado the week leading up to the National.  We were very happy with how easy it is to make adjustments to get the best performance possible from the carb.  We made the decision to run the ALJ on Mike’s bike at Thunder Valley.  The team was thrilled with the performance and has made the decision to run Merge ALJ kit’s on all of the team motorcycles starting this weekend in Washougal.”

“We are very happy that Red Bull KTM tested the Merge ALJ under the toughest conditions possible at altitude in Colorado,” states Jim Lewis.  “As you can guess, being on the podium the first time the Merge ALJ has been raced in a Motocross National is very satisfying to us.  We look forward to working with all of Red Bull KTM starting this weekend.”
