Race Tech Prepares for Arenacross Opener‏

Corona, CA- The
opening round of Arenacross will take place Saturday night in Des
Moines, Iowa.  Race
Tech will be on hand to support a handful of the nation’s top pros
as well as many talented amateurs at the event.

Race Tech
riders Kurt McCabe, 2010 Arenacross Lites Champion; Cody Gilmore,
former Arenacross Rookie of the Year; the DMP Motorsports/W3X Racing
Team; and Arenacross rookie, Mikey Weese, will all be representing
Race Tech in the Arenacross and Arenacross Lites classes.  Race
Tech Center, 4-PR
Performance, will also field a group of talented riders in both the
pro and amateur divisions.

McCabe and
Gilmore both grew up in Iowa,
and they will look to impress in front of their hometown crowd.  “I
was able to do some suspension testing last weekend with Race Tech,
and after one small change my bike was working awesome.  I
don’t know how it could be any better.  I
am going to focus on the premier Arenacross class at Des
Moines and
hope to put in a solid finish,” said Gilmore when asked about the
upcoming race.

Joining
McCabe under the StormLakeHonda.com/Race Tech banner will be Mikey
Weese.  Mikey
has numerous amateur wins under his belt and will make his rookie
debut as a professional in Des
Moines.  “I’m
just looking to get my feet wet and gain some experience, I don’t
really know what to expect.  My
bikes are all stock besides my Race Tech suspension, but I’m going
to give it my all,” Mikey said.

Team DMP
Motorsports/W3X Racing will make its debut in Des
Moines with
riders Brandon Ward, Ricky Yorks, and David Pulley making the trek
from southern California.  “Every
time I ride supercross on Race Tech’s suspension, I am blown away
how good it works,” said Ricky Yorks after a day of testing in
preparation for the opener.

In addition
to the top talent running Race Tech suspension in the pro divisions,
many of the Midwest’s
top amateur riders will be utilizing Race Tech’s trackside
support.  The
StormLakeHonda.com Amateur team will be competing on their Race Tech
backed bikes as well.

Race Tech’s
Head of R&D, Rob Brown; Rider Support Coordinator, Sydney Ruge;
and Director of Marketing, Chris Riesenberg will all be on hand to
support all the riders in attendance.  In
addition, 4-PR Performance, C&D Racing, Storm Lake Honda, and
4-PR Des
Moines will
all be on hand representing Race Tech and their riders.  If
you are attending the event, stop and see the Race Tech crew to get
your bike dialed for the tight confines of Arenacross.
