Canyon Lake, Calif., Sept 4, 2008 – Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green’s Sara Price competed in three premier amateur nationals in the last 45 days and as many different states, picking up two more wins and a solid second place overall at the Air Nautiques AMA Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Championship.

15-year-old Sara Price, the newest member of the DVS team, continued to be a dominant force in women’s amateur racing this past summer. Price won the women’s class at the Grand National Motocross in Ponca City, Oklahoma, in late July. Following Ponca City, she contended the AMA Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Championship at Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, July 28th – August 2nd in the highly competitive Women’s class finishing 2-1-3 for 2nd overall. Rounding out her summer she swept the women’s class at the final round of the WMA Amateur Championship presented by Kawasaki held at Steel City Raceway, Delmont, PA on August 31st

“The racing was great all summer” said Price “There are so many fast women racers coming through the ranks. I think I have learned a lot and will be ready to turn pro in 2009”.

Sara will race the Winter Mini Olympics in Gainesville, Florida this coming November and will defend her Supercross title in that event. She also hopes to win the coveted Golden Boot Award for the second straight year.
