George Latus, Team Owner - Latus Motors Racing (Will Announce 2012 AMA Season Plans on Pit Pass Radio Show Live Tonight)


Latus formed Latus Motors Racing as a
team owner in 2009, competing in AMA Daytona Sportbike on a Buell 1125R
with Taylor Knapp a
s rider. In 2010 they were back in Daytona Sportbike on a Ducati 848 with Steve Rapp finishing 4th. In the 2011 season they signed Jason DiSalvo. After a timely misfortune at Daytona,DiSalvo and the team went on to win the Daytona 200 and followed that up with a double win at Infineon finishing the season out 4th. The team also added a new rider in the Supersport class with Dustin Dominguez riding a Triumph 675R.  Dustin finished the East Coast Supersport Series in 4th, earning Triumph their first AMA win since 1999. The
team competed in the XR 1200 class with Chase McFarland, Joe Kopp, and
appearance and podium at Indy for DiSalvo. Team Latus
also partnered
up with Triumph, RSRacecraft and Joe Kopp to campaign a Speed Triple in
the Race for the Clouds up the historical mountain at Pike's Peak
International Hill Climb.  Joe was the first to break the current record and finished with the 2nd fastest time up the mountain.   Latus has been a
n H-D dealer for 26 years and have been in the motorcycle industry for about 40 years.

Tommy Aquino, Daytona Sportbike Racer - Graves Motorsports Yamaha Team


Tommy had another solid year in the
Daytona Sportbike class with his best overall DSB series finish of
third. A strong competitor, he was consistently in the top ten with
three podiums this season. He even picked up a win at the second to last
round of the year. Tommy is known for his talented riding and sense of
humor. So far he is one of the only riders to walk away unharmed after
ghost riding his bike down the finish line straight at NJMP.

Bob Lowry, National Sales and Marketing Manager - Fly Racing


Lowry has spent his entire working life in the moto industry. From
1995 - 2009 he worked with Scott USA Motosport as a division manager.
In 2010, he became the Fly Racing National sales and marketing manager.
The Fly brand has experienced some rapid growth over the past few years
sponsoring riders in moto, street, ATV, BMX, snow and watercraft
categories. Their sponsored riders have included Trey Canard, Andrew
Short, Kyle Regal and Michael Byrne. It is that time of year and Fly
Racing is currently accepting resumes for amateur riders looking for
sponsorship for the 2012 season.

Davey Coombs, MX Sports and Racer X Owner


Davey Coombs is one of the key
players in the motocross/off-road racing promotions and media
industries. He and his family have helped to build the motocross
industry and continue to make major contributions to motocross and
off-road racing. Most recently he helped to revive the Outdoor Motocross
series. He is the owner of RacerX, an industry publication known as a
go-to publication for the motocross industry. A big fan of the Motocross
of Nations, Coombs is just back from France where he watched Team USA
pick up yet another trophy for their collective win.

Ryan Villopoto, 2010 Championships: Supercross, Outdoor Motocross and Motocross of Nations - Monster Energy Factory Kawasaki


Ryan Villopoto has had quite an
amazing year. In 2011 he won the Monster Energy AMA and FIM World
Supercross Championship, the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship
and was a member of the team representing the USA that once again won
the Monster Energy Motocross of Nations. A Monster Energy Kawasaki
rider, Villopoto is known for his dogged determination and champion
attitude. This year he proved that he was the man to beat and that he
could win it all. With a total of four championships to his name,
Villopoto is determined to add more titles to his record despite facing
some of the toughest competition motocross has ever seen in the premiere
class.
