Press Release

Papenmeier’s victory adds drama in the championship

TEUTSCHENTHAL
(GERMANY),
19 June 2010 – Home rider Larissa Papenmeier went out with
Saturday’s race victory, followed by her compatriot Stephanie Laier.
Pole setter Livia Lancelot finished third after having a good start and
being able to ride second during the first laps.

Teka Suzuki
Europe World MX2's Papenmeier drove her German fans crazy after getting
the holeshot and
succeeded to keep Lancelot and Laier’s pressure during the whole race.
The French rider had a tough fight during the first 5 laps with Red Bull
KTM Factory Racing’s Laier, who was finally able to overtake Lancelot
in one of the last turns of the track taking advantage of a lapped
rider.

Diga KTM’s Maria Franke had to push really hard to finish
fourth as she could not get a good line in the start. The German
managed to pass the fifth classified Chiara Fontanesi just at the
penultimate lap of the race.

Tomorrow’s race may change
notoriously the FIM WMX Championship Classification, as top 5 riders are
really tight in points and this would contribute for an exciting
weekend for the German fans.
