PIRELLI AND TEAM JGRMX CLAIM FOURTH IN ONLY CANADIAN STOP OF 2012 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES‏


Toronto, Ontario, March 25, 2012

In the only stop outside of the United States, the 2012 Monster Energy
AMA Supercross Championship series made its way to Toronto, Canada this
weekend for round 12 of 17. 47,010 fans filled Rogers Centre asDavi
Millsaps appeared solo to represent team JGRMX/ Toyota/ Yamaha.
 
Riding
on Pirelli Scorpion MX tires, Millsaps easily qualified for the main
event after winning his first heat race of the season. Starting the main
event inthird, Millsaps battled amongst the top-five for the duration
of the race, finally finishing fourth. Josh Whitmire, Pirelli North
America Off Road Manager commented, "The team has been strong and is
close to finishing the year off on a positive note. We will do
everything we can to continue supporting both riders and ensuring that
theyhave the tools they need to succeed." Millsaps is currently fourth
overall, trailing teammate James "Bubba" Stewart by just eight points.
 
Stewart
remained at home this race, recovering from injuries sustained in
Indianapolis. He is reported to be in stable condition and will return
to racing as soon as safely possible. He remains in podium position with
169 total points.
 
Round
13 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship will be held March
31 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Tex. The event will be broadcast the
following day on CBS. Air times will vary by region, starting at 12:30
p.m. (EST); check local listings.
