NewEgg.Com and Tarah Gieger Activate Sponsorship Through Newegg Marketplace 1

TEMECULA, CA- Going into the last race of the season, Tarah Gieger sat ten points out of the lead for the Women’s Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.  She was in third place, behind Ashley Fiolek and Jessica Patterson.  The Troy Lee Designs and Red Bull backed rider was consistent in both motos at Lake Elsinore and ended up fourth overall for the day.  She passed Patterson in points and earned second place in the 2012 championship.

Gieger’s excitement over second place extends beyond her own happiness, “My sponsors have been behind me 100%.  They put forward a lot of effort for me to be out there so I know it is important to them when I do well.”

Troy Lee Designs and Red Bull have been involved in moto for a while and know what Gieger is capable of.  Gieger’s newest sponsor, computers and electronics e-retailer Newegg.com, jumped on board as X Games was approaching and will remain as a sponsor.  “I feel fortunate that Newegg and I were able to form a partnership as they step into the motorsports community.  It’s always a striking feeling when a new sponsor enters the sport and supports you,” commented Gieger on the deal.

Newegg.com offers customers a comprehensive selection of the latest consumer electronics products, complete with detailed product descriptions and images, as well as how-to information and customer reviews. Newegg also has an online marketplace that provides professional sellers with an easy, effective way to offer their products on Newegg.com.  Newegg Marketplace recently launched its Troy Lee Designs store that features motocross sportswear and accessories.  To browse the Troy Lee Designs store on Newegg, visit http://www.newegg.com/Store/Category.aspx?Category=726&name=Motorcycle-ATV.

Gieger is now making plans for 2013.  After finishing a career best in the WMX this summer, she is eager to build on that momentum and take herself and her sponsors to the top of the podium.
