N.E.R.D Performs Live at the Joint During the Dew Tour Championships Friday, Oct 15‏

N.E.R.D will perform live on the skate park course at the
Dew Tour Championships in Las Vegas. Moments after the best skateboarders in
the world battle it for the coveted Dew Cup, N.E.R.D will rock the skate park
stage inside the legendary Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday,
October 15th. The concert is part of the Dew Tour Championships, a
four-day event culminating the 2010 Dew Tour season and featuring competitions
with the best skateboard, BMX and freestyle motocross athletes in the world,
including Shaun White, Ryan Sheckler, Paul Rodriguez, Dave Mirra and many more.
Tickets are now on sale starting at just $15.





Rock/funk/hip
hop group, N.E.R.D is made up of childhood friends Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo
and Shay Haley, with a recent addition of Rhea to the group in late 2009.
Williams and Hugo originally started as the three-time-Grammy-winning
production duo, The Neptunes, who produced hits for leading artists like Justin
Timberlake and Jay-Z, creating N.E.R.D in 2001 as a side project. Fast forward
three albums later – In Search Of…(2002 U.S. release), Fly
or Die
(2004) and Seeing Sounds (2005) – that contained hit songs
like “Lapdance,” “She Wants to Move,” and
“Everyone Nose,” N.E.R.D has set the bar high for the much
anticipated release of their fourth album, Nothing, in September 2010.

In its
sixth year, the top athletes in the world will take part in the 2010 Dew Tour,
all competing for the highly coveted Dew Cup that will be awarded at
season’s end to champions in each of the five disciplines, culminating at
the Dew Tour Championships at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The 2009 Dew Cup champions include Chris Cole
(skateboard park), Bucky Lasek (skate vert), Garrett Reynolds (BMX park), Jamie
Bestwick (BMX vert) and Ryan Nyquist (BMX dirt).



Dew Tour

The
Dew Tour consists of five major, multi-sport events spanning across the
country, with a cumulative points system, a $2.5 million competitive purse a
bonus pool at year-end based on overall tour standings. The Tour features
skateboarding (park and vert), BMX (park, vert and dirt) and freestyle
motocross. At season’s end, the overall points leaders in the five
disciplines will be crowned year-end champions and awarded the prestigious Dew
Cup. As part of an Alli property, key lifestyle
elements complement the competitions at each Tour event including the Festival
Village, specialty competitions, and live, cutting-edge music. The Dew Tour is
broadcast live on NBC Sports with additional competition and lifestyle
